Mrs. Theresa "Terri" M. Malone

Westlake- Theresa "Terri" M. (nee: Citro) Malone, 73, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Brookdale Westlake Village from complications of Multiple Sclerosis.

Born September 24, 1942 in Lorain, Ohio, she lived there until 1968. She was a 1961 graduate of Clearview High School and was also a graduate of St. Joseph's School of Practical Nursing and Northern Institute of Cosmetology. Theresa worked as an LPN at St Joseph's Hospital in Lorain. She moved to Westlake in 1968 and was a member of Holy Trinity Parish in Avon where she was active in the Ladies Guild and volunteered at various parish activities including Bingo and Fish Fry's. Theresa was also very active in different school programs while her children attended the Parish School including assisting the girls CYO Volleyball team and Girl Scouts. She enjoyed spending time with her family and their Papillon's, the little dogs were her constant companions, always on her lap with their silly antics that made her laugh. Terri also loved watching murder mystery movies and T.V. shows. She enjoyed nature and watching the deer and birds that visited her property. Theresa treasured the time she spent going for drives with her husband to parks and the lake to enjoy the outdoors. Terri also resided with her sister, Lucille from 2004 until 2010 where they offered one another care and companionship.  

Surviving are her daughters, Christine "Tina" Malone and Regina "Gina" Malone both of Westlake; her grandchildren, Kayleigh R. Malone, James D. Malone and Jayden R. Ward all of Westlake; her sister, Lucille A. Citro of Fairview Park; and brother, Leo J. Citro of Lorain.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, James R. Malone in 1999; her son, Anthony J. "Tony" Malone in 1986; and her parents, Leo D. and Katherine B. (nee: Rebok) Citro.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Closing prayers will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 10:20 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 7, 2016 at St. Peter Parish, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, Fr.
