Mary was a lifetime resident of Lorain, born August 30, 1919 to Albert James and Catherine Mary McDermott.

She is survived by her sons, Michael of Huntingtown, Maryland, Thomas of Lorain; daughter, Mary L.(Felix) Rosario of Lorain; her brothers, Dr. Thomas McDermott of California, retired Col. Michael McDermott of Virginia; sisters, Catherine Hahn of Elyria, Rita Barnard of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; twelve grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Kane; son, Timothy; her companion of several years, Gene Francis; great-granddaughter, Victoria; brothers, Tommy at age two, and Albert McDermott; sister, Teresa Joan Lowrie; and her parents.  Mary will be missed by her family, friends, neighbors, church and all who knew her.
