Mr. James M. Babinsky

Lorain- James M. Babinsky, 64, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Amherst Hospital in Amherst, OH.

James was born on May 5, 1950 in Lorain, OH. He graduated from Lorain High School in 1968. James attended Lorain County Community College along with Baldwin Wallace College receiving credentials as a machinist. James was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves from 1969 through 1975 as an E6 Staff Sergeant. He was employed as a manager for 35 years with U.S. Steel, USS/KOBE Steel and Republic Steel. James enjoyed cruising nights at Quaker Steak, car shows, drag racing at Norwalk Raceway Park, golfing, and watching the Cleveland Browns and Indians. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus (Lorain Columbian Club).

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie (nee: Pekare) Babinsky of Lorain; daughter, Jamie (Todd Angello) Babinsky of Lorain; two sons, Scott (Amy) Warner of Pittsburgh, PA; Bryan (Dianne) Warner of Cranberry, PA; brother, Dennis (Cheryl) Babinsky of Vermilion; grandchildren, Brenden Warner, Conner Warner, Taylor Warner and Camryn Warner; and many nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph J. and Pearl (nee: Plato) Babinsky; brothers, Joseph D. and Robert A. Babinsky.  

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 PM and Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Fr. James Becherer, officiating. Christian burial services will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, OH. Memorial donations may be made in James' name to Knights of Columbus, www.kofc.org.
