Mr. Joseph A. Conway

Lorain- Joseph A. Conway, 65, passed away unexpectedly on March 25, 2014 at his Florida residence.  Joe leaves behind a loving wife and best friend of 32 years, Gail (nee: Kippenberger) Conway.   Born in Cambridge, MA to Gladys E. (nee: Boudreau) Conway and Joseph A. Conway [deceased], Joe was an only child who leaves behind two daughters and four grandchildren. Joe had earned a BA in Math from Suffolk University, an electrical engineering degree from Wentworth Institute and an MBA from Baldwin-Wallace College. Joseph worked in Electronic Sales at General Electric for 30 years. His primary passion was his love and devotion to his wife, Gail, who were seldom parted. Like his patron Saint Joseph, Joe was a patient and humble man who could build and fix anything, tell a great story and enjoy a good laugh.  He generously helped anyone who needed his expertise. Joe was an avid bridge player, master chess player, world traveler, civil war buff, golfer and expert marksman. His favorite pastime was riding his BMW/Harley. Joe served as the Director of Elyria Harley Davidson. He was a member of the West Cleveland Hogs and an officer of Cleveland BMW. He spoke fluent French and Latin.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 4 - 8 PM and Friday from 9 - 9:30 AM. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 9:30 AM at the funeral home, Rev. Lisa Morrison, officiating.
