Mrs. Connie Butrey-Todarello

Lorain- Connie Butrey-Todarello (nee: Sparaino), 92, entered into enternal rest on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain, OH, surrounded by her loving family.

Connie was born in Lorain, OH on August 1, 1919 to her loving parents, Louis and Mary (nee:Ferraro) Sparaino. She lived most of her life in Lorain and as a small child she lived in Sicily, Italy. Connie graduated from Lorain High School, Class of 1937. She was married to John Butrey in 1943 and raised three children, Barbara, Ronald and Karen. John Butrey preceded her in death in 1988. Connie married John Todarello in 1991and enjoyed 18 years together before John Todarello passed away in 2009. 

She was a devout member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Lorain. Connie worked and retired from Joseph and Feiss Company as a clothing examiner. She loved her family and friends and especially spending time with her 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Connie also enjoyed the beauty of her yard and her flowers and loved to cook for others.

Connie is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Ken) Debo of Huron and Karen (Steve) Stohla of Alliance; son, Ronald Butrey of Avon Lake; grandchildren, Marc (Monica) Debo, Kim (Joe) Stumphauzer, Brian (Candace) Debo, Brett (Sarah) Debo and Stacy Stohla-Russell; and great-grandchildren, Andrew, Alexandra, Austin, Hannah, Dominic, Gabriel, Victoria, Brandon, Sydney, Dylan, Amelia and Alyssa.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; brother, Tony Sparaino; and sister, Mary Jo Sparaino.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broaday, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Friday, April 27, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Closing prayers will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:40 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:15 AM, Saturday, April 28, 2012 at St. Peter Church, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, OH, Fr Craig Hovanec, officiating.
