Amherst - Vincent F. Camera, 79, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on November 5, 1936 in Lorain, Ohio to his loving parents, Joseph and Rosemary (nee: Spando) Camera.

Vince graduated from Lorain High School, Class of 1955. He honorably served his Country in the U.S. Army and returned home in 1957. Vince married the love of his life, Diane (nee: DelBoccio) on October 24, 1959. Vince was an inspector at E & L Transport. He was a choir member at Church of the Open Door in Elyria for 17 years. He enjoyed attending church, golfing and bowling. Vince was a strong leader in his family, home and his faith. Always an honorable man and trusted friend.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Diane Camera; sons, Vinny (Kathy) Camera, and Tony (Janice) Camera; daughter, Christy (Gary) Schobel; 8 grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Rosemary Camera.

The family will receive friends at Ralph Neighbor Center at The Church of the Open Door (Rt. 113@ West Ridge Road) in Elyria, OH on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 2:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 PM with military honors by the U.S. Army. Arrangements and cremation services by Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, Lorain.
