Mrs. Anne Jama

Lorain- Anne Jama (nee: Troatsy), 99, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain, OH surrounded by her loving family.

Anne was born in Throop, PA on January 28, 1914. She worked for 35 years in the maternity ward at St. Joseph Hospital in Lorain. She was a member of the Church of St. Peter in Lorain and was an avid baker and bingo worker at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Lorain. Anne loved to dance, especially to polka music.  Her greatest love was spending personal time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Mariann Jama of Lorain; grandchildren, Thomas (Kelly) Jama and Timothy (Erica) Jama; great-grandchildren, Patrick, Kyle and Alexa.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Jama; parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Troatsy; brothers, Joseph and John; and sisters, Mary and Elizabeth.

A private visitation will be held at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home. The Jama family would like to invite family and friends to join them for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 9:30 AM on Monday, April 22, 2013 at the Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain.  The mass will be officiated by Fr. Craig Hovanec of St. Peter Church and co-celebrated by Fr. Nicholas Rachford of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church. Christian entombment services will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Church of St. Peter, Maintenance Fund, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, OH 44053. Online condolences may be sent using www.rsgfuneralhome.com.
