Mr. Albert L. Lynam

Lorain- Albert L. Lynam, 87, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014 at Mercy New Life Hospice Center in Lorain, OH.

He was born in Wildwood, NJ and lived in Lorain for the last 41 years.

He served in the U.S. Army during WWII with the 69th infantry division. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, ETO Ribbon with three stars, Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal. He worked in the shipbuilding industry. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 30 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 451 and a member of their combined Honor Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin G. and Estella (nee: Johnson) Lynam; wife, Jaqueline (nee: Bacon) Lynam; and sisters, Agnes and Eleanor; brothers, Martin G. Jr., William and David.

He is survived by his children, Colleen (Victor) Colon, Albert (Michele) Lynam Jr. and Diane (James) Daniels; sister, Mary Alice Hoffman; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and many loving step family members.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM, Friday, January 31, 2014 at Elmwood Cemetery, 640 N. Ridge Rd. W., Lorain, OH 44053 (meet at cemetery) where military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 30 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 451.
